Fall/ Winter 2010

The key pieces for fall and winter 2010 go from a kind of boho, relaxed look to a more punky ripped look. keep your eye out for any rips, chains, studs, black, and more black! but make sure to still keep your eye out for floral prints, flowy patterns, relaxed earthy neutral colors, and vegan clothes. here are some key pieces you should keep your eye out for this fall / winter:

long skirts:
Long and longer are the words that better describe this season's skirt trends. Salvatore Ferragamo and Ralph Lauren presented long versions that reveals the bourgeois and bohemian part of a woman. Even though, long skirts are perfect for fall and winter. Therefore, a '50s style skirt can totally save any outfit especially for active women who are more into the retro look. For fall/winter 2010-2011, '50s skirts are used in order to create casual outfits without losing their sophistication. They are matched with loose sweaters and high heal boots

Peg-leg Pants:

These tailored and timeless peg-leg trousers are pared-down versions of past season’s harem pants and are much easy to wear. With their slouchy tailoring falling from the waist these pants can look seriously sexy. Pair peg-leg pants with statement jackets and soft billowy blouses. Add an elegant belt around a paper-bag waist.

The Camel Coat:

The camel coat is a timeless classic city cover-up. Whatever you wear with it instantly looks more polished. Chicest of all is camel cashmere. Add a hint of sexiness by wearing over high-rise hemlines and low-cut hemlines. Cinch in an oversized camel coat with a slim tonal tan belt for some extra glamor.
Find fall’s coats in every possible permutation, from mannish cuts and classic wraparounds to floor-sweeping styles which represent the season’s love affair with new longer lengths. With so many camel-hues (from caramel and cognac to toffee and nutmeg) it’s possible to find one that perfectly flatters your skintone. Pale skinned women should opt for a stronger shade, whilst those with olive skins can carry-off a more sandy beige.

The Fur Gilet:
Try one of Fall 2010’s fashionable long-line furry gilets over a chic day dress to give your outfit an edge. Shearling and faux-fur gilets are an antidote to chunky knit coatigans and are a lot funkier. Also wear them over a coat or jacket for another outerwear option.

The Cable-knit Sweater:

Oversized cable-knit jumpers are this season’s alternative to the twinset. A chunky cable knit should be one of winter’s wardrobe staples in a return to nostalgic knits. Cinch in with a narrow belt. Find creamy Aran knits in new cropped lengths to balance out the bulk or long-line cable-knit sweater dresses.

The Frame Bag:

The age of the “It” bag has finally gone, it is classic, vintage shapes that make a revival this season. Classic frame bags represent this season’s take on “heritage” bags ,with less bling and more good taste. Rekindling the age of the Kelly Bag, the Birkin, fashion houses like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Fendi and YSL offer up classic pieces which look like old friends. Gucci resists its ‘70s logo whilst emphasis is luxury fabrics, clean lines and minimal hardware; styles that will still past muster in decades to come.
